“Laurel has been and IS a pillar of support and knowledge in the FEM community. She has helped so many of us over the years by generously sharing what she’s learned and experienced herself. Her beautiful and unique way of offering support came through for me when I had an intense experience with "CV" in December of 2021. She was instrumental in how I moved through that illness with confidence, grace and curiosity. Together we implemented a protocol (specific to my body’s needs) and made shifts as time went on. Her calm, encouraging, caring, collected, yet direct (when I needed her to be) nature was such a welcomed and foundational presence for me. I now lovingly refer to her as my "CV" Doula. Laurel is a radiant community member with a wealth of knowledge. Her intuitive way of providing care and support is such a gift to receive. Eternally grateful to know and be in relationship with her. ✨”

"Two years ago, when everyone around me seemed to be struggling with acute illness and congestion, I was afraid for my family. I reached out to Laurel and she gave me a protocol to keep on hand. I ordered all the supplies and kept them in case I needed them and this past fall was the first time my family needed support. I felt so confident digging into my tools - and we were able to move quickly through acute illness. Over the holidays I noticed many members of my extended family and friends struggling with acute illness, too. I was able to share everything I learned from Laurel with them. It is so empowering to have the knowledge and tools to move through acute illness quickly and successfully. I am no longer afraid and it's reassuring to be surrounded by a group of knowledgeable women (such as Laurel) that are always ready to jump in and help."

Laurel has been a God-send to me and my family. She has a unique ability to see clearly during times of crisis, maintain facts and details, outline the bigger picture, connect the dots, and lay down an approach to sifting out the unneeded and uncovering the missing links. Her calm, confident, and straightforward personality holds space and courage to move through crises when you’re feeling lost or defeated.

When my husband, who rarely gets sick, was on day five of no sleep due to an electrifying headache, fever, and body aches, I reached out to Laurel for advice. As a third-year FEM, I felt like I had used all my tools but nothing was shifting. My husband was getting worse and fear was setting in. I was doubting myself and feeling lost. Laurel immediately recognized his cytokine storm - looked at my protocol - suggested missing elements - and opened my eyes to where I needed to increase frequency. She wrote out an easy-to-follow protocol with little notes to remind me of the why. This was key! My brain was so tired and her clarity and confidence allowed me to implement, as well as instill the confidence in my husband that is is exactly what we needed to do and why.
We saw a shift within 24 hours and he nearly fully recovered within 48 hours. Laurel offered me insights on the next phase and how to adjust his protocol to prevent any bounce back - which is a step I may have forgotten as I was just so glad he was feeling better. Laurel ensured we had exactly what we needed to support full recovery. She followed up with me and she held me up when I needed that the most.
Not only did we make it through this crisis stronger, we learned so much about all of our tools and how to use them more effectively, how to trust what’s working and how to tweak things when needed.
Laurel’s insight is so valuable and her ability to give clear and concise guidance streamlines the efficiency of your protocol and truly transforms crisis into a space where you confidently step into your Fiercely Empowered Mama role and support your body and mindset to heal. I would recommend Laurel’s acute care guidance to everyone and am so grateful to know she is an available resource for me and my family."

“I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much I appreciated Laurel and Bethany coming to my rescue when my 10-year-old son came down with poison ivy.

Laurel had just done an Integration Meet-up about rashes 10 days before. I listened to the replay and ordered the bundle. Noah came home from farming with my husband and his face had some loud communication. I had him get in the shower and I ran and got the only blood cleaner I had on hand (Cod Liver Oil). He takes it daily, but in acute times we upped the foundational care. I covered him in bentonite clay and prayed the bundle would be arriving soon.
Over the next day, the rash continued to spread. That's when I reached out to Laurel and Bethany. I knew it was a long shot but hoped that one of my FEM sisters would be able to lead me through the questions I had. And they both had wonderful advice for me. I was nervous about the dosages, but Laural reassured me that we are working with concentrated food and to not be afraid of our remedies! I went to the health food the next day and Laurel and Bethany helped me know just what to get to help stop the progression of Noah's painful itching. I am so incredibly grateful that in my time of need, I had an expert there to help - it made all the difference! And also taught me the important lesson that in Naturopathy, we react quickly and hit it hard! Many thanks and blessings."

I started working with Laurel in 2019 when she introduced my dad and me to Tonya's work. Little did I know the journey we would travel. Laurel was instrumental in guiding me through my dad's illness.  She was with me every step of the way then and now.  She continues to coach me on my own personal path.  Laurel is very knowledgeable, non-judgmental, open and honest. She supports me and my decisions. I wouldn't have had the personal growth without her and to be honest, wouldn't have wanted to travel this path without her."

Jacklyn S. (5th-Year FEM)

I just wanted to share my experience with the support I received from Laurel. I am postpartum (11 weeks) and at two weeks postpartum, my two older kids were sick with RSV. Unfortunately, my newborn was not spared from illness and came down with it as well. I was very overwhelmed by everyone being ill and needed some support. I posted on our FB group and Laurel was quick to direct me to the information I needed (how to nebulize saline/hydrogen peroxide/iodine). She also offered her recommendations, checked in with me over the next few days, "held my hand" and listened to my overwhelming emotions all while affirming me. I am positive that Laurel's willingness and availability to answer my questions, help me come up with a treatment plan, make recommendations, and just be there for me helped my family's outcome. I was able to get through that season and come out stronger, more educated, and empowered by the support I received.
